Holiday Home Skoaffär
We named the holiday home Holiday Home Skoaffär. Skoaffär (Skoe-affair) means “shoe shop” in Swedish.
Long ago, this house belonged to a family who lived here and ran a shoe shop. It was one of the few shops in the village. After a few years, the shoe shop closed and the property was subdivided, but the name remained! The villagers still call the house Skoaffär. We even spoke to an elderly neighbor who still has shoes she bought at Skoaffär!
We found this so special that we decided to bring a little bit of history back to this village and call the holiday home Holiday Home Skoaffär. The logo is a nod to the house’s history but also perfectly reflects the current times, as with those sturdy walking shoes, you can enjoy some wonderful walks here!

Holiday Home Skoaffär has a spacious hallway.
There is a kitchen with:
- an oven,
- electric stovetop,
- refrigerator and freezer,
- a (filter) coffee maker,
- a milk frother,
- a kettle,
- a hand blender,
- oven dishes,
- dishes, and pans.
The kitchen has a cleaning cupboard with cleaning supplies and a vacuum cleaner. There is a bathroom with a toilet and sink.
There’s a bathroom with a toilet and sink. There’s a cozy living room with a wood-burning stove and a corner sofa. The living room also features a dining table with six chairs. There’s a cabinet with a TV. Wi-Fi is also available in the holiday home.
There are three bedrooms, one of which has a double bed and a spacious wardrobe. The red bedroom has a bunk bed, a desk with a chair, and a wardrobe. The other bedroom is a real Pippi Longstocking room! Especially for younger guests, it features a bunk bed and a sofa bed. There’s a cupboard with games, books, and puzzles, as well as a high chair. The conservatory has a sofa bed and a sitting area with a table.
The terrace features a lounge sofa and a dining table with eight chairs. On the other side of the cottage, there’s also a sitting area with a fire pit. There’s also a charcoal barbecue. In the garden, there’s a playhouse and a swing for children. The playhouse contains outdoor toys and games.
Guests can find extra wood for the wood-burning stove or a campfire in the small shed. There’s another shed where guests can dispose of some of their waste. A washing machine is located in the basement beneath the cottage and can be used by guests for a fee.
